Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with an alternative provision in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join their team starting September.This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who require additional guidance to succeed in education, many of whom have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream settings.About the Role: As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 to support their social, emotional, and academic development. You will help to re-engage young people in their education through positive relationships, structured support, and tailored interventions.Key Responsibilities:Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support behaviour, wellbeing, and learningDeliver targeted 1:1 or small-group interventionsSupport students both in and outside of the classroom settingAct as a positive role model, promoting resilience and self-confidenceWork collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to support individual learning plansThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience working with young people, ideally within an alternative provision or pastoral roleA calm, consistent, and nurturing approachThe ability to de-escalate challenging situations and ..... full job details .....
