This is a full-time role working predominantly with Year 6 pupils, supporting them through key academic and emotional milestones, including preparation for SATs and the transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will work with children who may face barriers to learning, providing targeted pastoral support to help them build confidence, improve behaviour, develop resilience, and achieve their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small-group mentoring for Year 6 pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural needsSupport pupils in developing positive attitudes to learning and improving self-esteemHelp pupils prepare for transition to secondary school and manage the demands of Year 6Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to implement personalised support plansHelp pupils to manage emotions, build friendships, and develop effective learning habitsLiaise with parents, external agencies, and school staff to ensure a joined-up approach to supportMaintain accurate records of interventions and contribute to pupil ..... full job details .....
