Full-Time Learning Mentor - Primary School (Burnley) - September StartWe are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Burnley that is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children''s emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in school life.The RoleAs a Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may need extra help to access learning. You''ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families to remove barriers to education and help children thrive both academically and personally.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils across KS1 and KS2Supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH)Helping to improve attendance, behaviour, and engagement in learningBuilding positive relationships with pupils to boost confidence and resilienceLiaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals where neededPromoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environmentWhat We''re Looking ForExperience working with children, ideally within a primary school or education settingA calm, patient, and approachable mannerStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA genuine interest in supporting children''s wellbeing and developmentAbility to manage behaviour positively and consistentlyRelevant qualifications (e.g. ..... full job details .....
