Job Title: Learning Mentor (Pastoral) Contract: Full Time, Temporary Location: South YardleyWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor (Grade 3) to join a lovely Primary School in South Yardley. This is a full-time position focused on providing pastoral support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.About the RoleAs a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may present with a range of needs, including behavioural challenges, learning difficulties, and anxiety. This is a pastoral role with no curriculum delivery requirement. Your primary focus will be to support pupils emotional wellbeing, engagement, and readiness to learn.You will also play an important role in supporting attendance, working with children and families to identify barriers and implement strategies to improve school engagement.Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support to pupilsSupport pupils with behavioural, emotional, and learning needsImplement behaviour management strategies effectively and consistentlyBuild positive, trusting relationships with pupilsEngage in sensitive and sometimes challenging conversations with parents and carersSupport attendance monitoring and work proactively with families to improve attendanceLiaise with staff and external agencies where appropriateMaintain accurate records of interventions and progress The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar settingStrong ..... full job details .....
