Job Description:
- Provideandnbsp;1:1 and small group mentoringandnbsp;to pupils withandnbsp;SEMH needs, supporting theirandnbsp;emotional regulation,andnbsp;self-esteem, andandnbsp;behavioural development
- Buildandnbsp;trusting relationshipsandnbsp;with pupils to help them engage positively with learning
- Support the implementation ofandnbsp;individual behaviour plansandnbsp;andandnbsp;pastoral interventions
- Work closely withandnbsp;teachers,andnbsp;pastoral staff, andandnbsp;external agenciesandnbsp;to ensure aandnbsp;holistic approachandnbsp;to pupil support
- Promote aandnbsp;calm and consistent environmentandnbsp;that encouragesandnbsp;resilience,andnbsp;independence, andandnbsp;positive choices
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people withandnbsp;SEMH,andnbsp;challenging behaviour, orandnbsp;additional needs (desirable but not essential)
- Be aandnbsp;calm,andnbsp;patient, andandnbsp;emotionally intelligentandnbsp;individual with a strong sense ofandnbsp;empathy
- Demonstrate excellentandnbsp;communicationandnbsp;andandnbsp;de-escalation skills
- Be confident in usingandnbsp;restorative approachesandnbsp;andandnbsp;positive behaviour strategies
- Hold or be willing to obtain anandnbsp;enhanced DBS check
