Year 5 and 6 Learning MentorPrimary School in NW10 September 2026 StartAre you passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and build the confidence they need to succeed in Year 6 SATs?We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive Learning Mentor to join an outstanding Brent-based Primary School from September 2026.This rewarding role focuses on supporting Year 5 pupils as they prepare for the transition into Year 6, while also working with Year 6 pupils to strengthen their academic skills, confidence and readiness for SATs.About the RoleAs a Year 5 and 6 Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils, teachers and school leaders to provide targeted academic and pastoral support. You will help pupils develop confidence in English and Mathematics, overcome barriers to learning and prepare effectively for the demands of Year 6 and the end-of-Key Stage 2 SATs.You will play an important role in motivating pupils, reinforcing classroom learning and helping them develop positive study habits and resilience.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver one-to-one and small-group interventions in English and Mathematics to support progress towards Year 6 SATs.Work alongside class teachers to reinforce learning objectives and identify pupils who require additional support.Support Year 5 pupils with a smooth transition into Year 6 by developing key literacy, numeracy and study skills.Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, motivation and a ..... full job details .....
