You will be working closely with a child who requires consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day to help them engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence. The child can find it difficult to remain engaged in the classroom and may leave the learning environment when they become unsettled or overwhelmed. As the Learning Mentor, your role will be to build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, understand their individual needs and provide consistent support to help them access their learning.
