Learning Mentor Halifax Full-Time 90 - 110 per day (dependent on experience) We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor to join a specialist education setting in Halifax on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 7-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism within a nurturing and therapeutic learning environment. The Role As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide both academic and emotional support to students. You will play a vital role in helping pupils engage in learning, manage their emotions, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities Supporting students with SEMH needs and Autism on a 1:1 and small group basis. Assisting with the delivery of lessons and learning activities. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils. Encouraging student engagement, independence, and personal development. Supporting the implementation of individual learning and behaviour plans. Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
