We are seeking Care Workers / Support Workers / PMLD Learning Support Assistants to join our dedicated team at a specialist college in Harrow.About the RoleYou will be supporting learners aged 19-25 with a range of profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Your role will involve providing high-quality personal care, educational support, and promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing throughout the day.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care, including dressing, feeding, hygiene, and mobilitySupport learners within classroom, community, and therapy-based sessionsImplement behaviour support strategies (Team Teach or equivalent an advantage)Follow individual education and care plansSupport with communication, engagement, and sensory learningAssist with hoisting, repositioning, and safe movement (Manual Handling)Respond appropriately during medical or care-related needs, including epilepsy supportRequirementsExperience supporting individuals with PMLD, autism, complex needs, or behaviours of concernTraining or experience in:Manual Handling / Moving and HandlingTeam Teach (or similar)Personal CareEpilepsy awareness/supportStrong communication and teamwork skillsA caring, patient, and proactive approachWillingness to undertake further trainingEnhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)What We OfferA supportive and friendly ..... full job details .....
