Role: Learning and Support Administrator Location: Stevenage Hours: Monday to Friday 9 00 (14.45 finish on Friday) Contract: Permanent (temp to permanent) Start date: ASAP Salary: £99 - £110 per day About the School This is a special school for children aged 5 11 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. About the role As a Learning and Support Assistant (LASA), you ll play a vital role in our classrooms, supporting both teachers and pupils. Every day will bring new challenges and rewards as you help children to develop their confidence, social skills, and love of learning. Your role could include: Working alongside the teacher to support whole-class learning. Supporting individual pupils with behaviour management and social development (training provided). Bringing your own strengths and interests into the classroom whether that s a subject passion, creative skills, or something else that enriches the learning experience. Being part of a class team where your ideas and input are highly valued. This role is all about positivity, patience, and flexibility. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviour. What we re looking for GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. Experience working with children is an advantage whether in education, youth work, or another setting. An interest in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
