Leakage TechnicianBerwick Area£14.9037 hours per week12 month temporary contract Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Northumbrian Water for a Leakage Technician to join their team in the Berwick area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems and making a real difference to customers. You''ll play an important role in fitting devices which will identify and locate leaks across the water network, helping to protect water supplies and minimise waste. This is a hands-on, outdoor role and you''ll be required to work outside in all weather conditions, including cold, wet and windy conditions. The role can involve walking long distances each day and working in a variety of environments, from rural areas to busy town centres. You''ll also be responsible for fitting and installing monitoring and leak detection devices to manholes, so you''ll need to be comfortable working around the water network and carrying out practical, physical tasks outdoors. Using specialist equipment and mobile technology, your responsibilities will include: Identifying and locating leaks on water mains and service pipes Fitting monitoring and leak detection devices to manholes Using techniques such as sounding, correlating and noise logging Carrying out planned leakage surveys Responding to reactive and urgent leak detection requirements Investigating potential leaks and providing accurate information for repairs Using monitoring equipment ..... full job details .....
