We are looking for a Leakage Team Leader to join us at Barcombe. This role will be split between strategic office planning and getting out into the field to tackle complex issues alongside your team. You''ll lead a dedicated group of eight Leakage Detection and PRV Technicians, ensuring our network remains efficient and our leakage targets are met.

You will be at the heart of our operations, interpreting data to build actionable plans and supporting your team''s career progression in a supportive, stable environment.

You will be working Monday to Friday on-site at Barcombe, with usual hours being 8:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-15:30 on Friday. Once you are trained up, you will be on a manager standby to support weekends and out-of-hours incidents.

Main responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of internal and contract staff, managing performance through appraisals and supporting their long-term career development.
  • Operational Planning: Comprehensive planning and scheduling of all leakage detection work across the network, including reviewing and distributing work to field technicians.
  • Data Analysis: Interrogate company leakage systems and interpret complex operational data to measure team effectiveness and inform strategic planning.
  • Field Support: Provide day-to-day operational support on-site, helping technicians with complex leakage issues and motivating the team in the field.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety practices and carry out audits on technician work, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with the Regional Leakage Manager, R&M contractors, and our Customer Contact Centre to manage leak repairs and operational incidents.

  • Driving License: A full, clean driving license
