Job Title: Lead Test EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic Lead Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will own and evolve the Playwright UI automation suite, expanding coverage across critical user journeys and high-risk areas. You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Playwright-based automated tests, ensuring reliability and maintainability.ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve the Playwright UI automation suite, expanding coverage across critical user journeys and high-risk areas.Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Playwright-based automated tests, following best practices for reliability and maintainability.Improve automation quality including reducing flaky tests and strengthening reporting/observability of failures.Define and drive the test approach for new functionality and components, including services and integrations.Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure testability is built into delivery.Integrate and optimise automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.Assist in defect triage and support timely resolution by providing clear evidence and technical insight.Mentor and support manual QA testers as they progress towards automation.Create and maintain clear documentation and standards that enable consistent delivery across the team.Proactively identify gaps and propose improvements across the wider quality approach.Essential SkillsProven experience building and maintaining test automation in modern software delivery ..... full job details .....
