This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for leading a gang of steel fixers while working alongside them. The project involves reinforced concrete works to a deep basement excavation, so previous experience on RC and basement construction projects is essential. Responsibilities Leading and coordinating a gang of steel fixers Reading and interpreting structural drawings Understanding and working from bar bending schedules (BBS) and shape codes Installing reinforcement steel to specification Liaising with the Site Manager and Engineers Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety Working on the tools alongside the gang Requirements Proven experience as a Lead Steel Fixer / Chargehand Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works Ability to read structural drawings and shape codes Previous exper...
