Lead Steel Fixer / Chargehand Location: Holland Park, West LondonRate: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00Duration: 2 - 3 weeks Start Date: 16th July 2026 The Role We are looking for an experienced Lead Steel Fixer / Chargehand to join a high-end residential basement refurbishment project in Holland Park.This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for leading a gang of steel fixers while working alongside them. The project involves reinforced concrete works to a deep basement excavation, so previous experience on RC and basement construction projects is essential.Responsibilities Leading and coordinating a gang of steel fixersReading and interpreting structural drawingsUnderstanding and working from bar bending schedules (BBS) and shape codesInstalling reinforcement steel to specificationLiaising with the Site Manager and EngineersMaintaining high standards of quality and health and safetyWorking on the tools alongside the gang Requirements Proven experience as a Lead Steel Fixer / ChargehandStrong knowledge of reinforced concrete worksAbility to read structural drawings and shape codesPrevious experience on basement or RC frame projectsValid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold preferred)SSSTS would be advantageous but is not essentialExcellent communication and leadership skills What''s on Offer High-end residential project in West LondonImmediate start available for the right candidate If this position is of interest, please don''t hesitate to ..... full job details .....
