Lead / Senior Software Engineer

Hands-on project software lead for not-for-profit organisation (24 months FTC) Cambridge - South; to 62,000 DoE + Top Benefits Based a few miles south of Cambridge, this not-for-profit organisation is helping to tackle human diseases and disorders. They are revolutionising their digital platform and are putting together a dedicated, small team to work alongside external partners. A key position is for a Lead / Senior Software Engineer who reports directly to the CIO and will take a significant role in improving the user experience, and building using modern technologies. Requirements: Demonstrable commercial experience as a senior or lead software engineering working on modern websites or digital platforms with proven full stack engineering skills including front end technologies (React or Next.js). Additional experience with Python / Django for back-end would be desirable. Strong understanding of front-end web architecture including React, Headless CMS and relevant CI/CD pipelines. Exposure with AI tools for engineering efficiency. Experience with scalable, cloud-based secure web platforms, preferably integrating CRM, marketing analytics or payment transactions. Experience with line-management of direct reports and performance appraisals would be beneficial. This is a 24 months fixed term contract (with possibilities of extension).
