Lead Secondary Engineer - HV Design, Substations

Job Title: Lead Secondary EngineerLocation: Glasgow, United Kingdom The Lead Secondary Engineer will lead and work in a skilled team on a wide range of SSEN and SPEN substation projects. The position will focus on the project and tender engineering and its interfaces and scope of work involved in HV - substation design and construction projects, within the company EPC to meet customer needs, legislative demands and standards. What will you do?Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):Overall responsible for managing and leading all secondary engineering activities from project start till the As-Built stage with strict adherence to Project Specifications and company standards including QA/QC, HSSE and Integrity.Instruct, supervise and coordinate with other engineering team within the business (local and remote), internal and external partners, sub-suppliers, secondary engineers and civil engineers.Review of PandC design packages as per NG/ET/SR188Input to the development of the DIDSubmitting completed Design Packages for Design Compliance AuditEnsuring all design changes are managed in accordance with the design change management processAttending Design Review meetings (DRMs) and Hazard review meetings (HRMs) as requiredReview and certify the design packages and issue the DCAARLead Secondary design responsibilities including but not limited to SLD, protection and control schemes, interfacing of PandC with new and existing plant and equipment, panel general arrangements, AC and DC ..... full job details .....
