What You will Do
Own the end-to-end test strategy for the largest and most complex features that the project has to offer, independently and with limited supervisionDirectly perform all parts of the fundamental test process: test planning, test analysis, test design, test execution and reportingInspect designs, concepts, wireframes and code to analyse test requirements and risks for both tech-driven and design-driven featuresReview test plans created by other members of the QA teamUse a range of public and internal tools to perform grey-box testingDemonstrate an ability to balance priorities of planned feature work with reactive live game issues and eventsIdentify problems with designs, schedules and plans to prevent bugs from occurring before they are written into codeCommunicate test details and risks to stakeholders using language that they can understand and digestIdentify and present opportunities for new process improvements, tools and techniques to the wider teamWhat You Bring
Experience in game testingProven experience working within a game studio as part of a cross-discipline embedded QA teamProficient in mobile device testing with an understanding of the bug patterns and techniques unique to the platformStrong experience testing games-as-a-service projects, using remote data tools, balancing feature work against reactive live issues and prioritising workStrong emotional intelligence with a focus on self-awareness, self-evaluation and an ability to empathise with the goals and perspectives of other functionsExperience testing projects built with Unity, with demonstrable Unity development skills and Editor knowledge also strongly preferredExperience of technical areas and tooling when testing on mobile: Network tools, performance tools, analytics tools, API test tooling, automation frameworks, platform tools, storefront toolsFamiliarity with source control (Git) and branching strategies, as well as how they influence test activities throughout the pipelineAn ISTQB Foundation certificate or equivalentBonus
Demonstrable examples of personal game projects built in Unity with C#ISTQB advanced or specialist level certificates, or equivalentsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Game Design, or related fieldBenefits
