Lead Production Support Engineer

Overview

We are looking to recruit a candidate to lead a team of engineers working on a rotating shift pattern to be the primary support for the site. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry in addition to mechanically supporting breakdowns as and when required as this is a hands-on role. The role also includes leading a team of two engineers on the same shift pattern as the lead. All work must be completed effectively, with machine downtime being kept to a minimum, and within target expectations whilst adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers on a rotating shift pattern, acting as primary site support.Perform fault finding, programmed maintenance, installations and upgrades to circuitry, and mechanical support for breakdowns as required.Manage downtime and priorities to minimize machine downtime and meet target expectations.Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.Qualifications

Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualificationExperience of automated production environmentMachine settingPrevious Team leading experienceStrong engineering background Electrically and MechanicallyStrong Health and safety knowledgeStrong relationship building qualitiesUnderstanding of working in a controlled environmentAble to modify machine wiringAbility to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanicallyDesirable Experience/Qualifications
