Lead Planner

Abatec is recruiting for an experienced Lead Planner to join a leading Civil Engineering contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an opportunity to play a key role within a high-performing team, supporting the successful planning and delivery of complex schemes across multiple sectors. This is a senior position offering the chance to influence project performance from pre-construction through to delivery, working across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a proven background in planning within civil engineering or infrastructure, with experience operating at Senior Planner or Planning Manager level. As Lead Planner, you will: Lead the development and management of detailed project programmes across multiple civil engineering schemes Provide strategic planning input during tender and pre-construction stages Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain programme targets Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure alignment between planning, design, and construction activities Analyse programme performance and produce regular reports for senior stakeholders Drive improvements in planning processes, tools, and standards across projects Support and mentor junior planners, contributing to the development of the wider planning function Ensure programmes are compliant with contractual and project requirements Our ..... full job details .....
