Lead Pharmacist – Clinical Support at Cleveland Clinic London. This is a full-time role based at 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW.Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Contract: Full-Time and Permanent. Salary: up to £73,000.Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the post holder will be responsible for developing the education strategy for the pharmacy department, hospital-wide governance (including MSO work, Antibiotic and Opioid stewardship), and updating policies. The post holder will respond to incidents and work closely with the pharmacy team and caregivers outside pharmacy to support governance across the organisation.What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is recruiting a Lead Pharmacist - Clinical Support to join our Pharmacy team. This is a senior leadership role within a brand-new high-acuity environment that supports multiple specialties in collaboration with expert clinicians.Key duties include leading medication safety, governance and education initiatives, with responsibility for ensuring high-quality pharmacy services across the hospital and outpatient facilities.What will your duties include?
Act as the Hospital’s Medication Safety Officer (MSO), providing leadership to the medication safety agenda across the organisation (inpatient and outpatient settings).Lead on the review and evaluation of clinical risk and incidents related to medicines use, identifying trends.Contribute to the hospital clinical governance strategy to ensure the safe use of medicines.Work with clinical stakeholders to deliver education, training and development for pharmacy, medical and allied health professionals.Collaborate with the clinical pharmacy team to provide consistent, high-quality pharmacy services across all hospital and outpatient areas in line with GPhC Standards.What we need from you?
Degree in Pharmacy and postgraduate qualification.Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).Hospital Pharmacy experience – NHS and/or private sector.Proven track record of supporting and training Pharmacy staff.Experience in governance roles and activities.Who we are
