Lead Operator

We have a new and exciting position for a Lead Operator for a manufacturing firm in Bury St Edmund''s working permanent night shift.

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Lead to oversee the night shift for one of the town''s most well-established firms. This is a hands-on shift lead role where you will support the day-to-day running of production equipment, assist with processing orders, and help maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Hours are permanent nights, Monday-Thursday, 20:00-06:00.

There is an excellent shift premium which further boosts your salary.

Duties will include:

• Operating manufacturing and distillation equipment in line with safety procedures
• Assisting with start-up and shutdown of plant machinery
• Carrying out routine checks, housekeeping, and basic maintenance
• Monitoring production processes and completing quality checks and sampling
• Oversee the personnel on the night shift
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety
  
  

Skills required:

• Previous experience in a production environment is desirable but not essential
• Good attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
• Proven leadership experience
• Ability to work well as part of a team
