Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of engineering services at a high-profile, significant infrastructure site. This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work within a complex and high-performing engineering environment, supporting the delivery of reactive maintenance, remedial works and engineering improvements across a wide range of mechanical and HVAC systems. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with effective team leadership. You''ll take ownership of day-to-day engineering activities, lead a small team and work closely with colleagues and client representatives to ensure issues are resolved safely, efficiently and professionally. As our Lead Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include: Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers, providing day-to-day supervision, support and direction while managing performance, attendance, training, development and other people-related activities. Plan and deliver reactive maintenance and remedial works across HVAC, heating, ventilation, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework and associated mechanical systems, responding quickly to minimise downtime. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and HVAC faults, taking a proactive approach to fault finding and using your knowledge of BMS and control systems, including Trend BMS.
