Lead Mechanical Engineer

This is an opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a Joint Venture Project Management Team during the pre-FEED of a $ multibillion project. Acting on behalf of the JV, the role provides technical input to ensure the facilities scope is specified safely, operably, and cost-effectively. The Lead Mechanical Engineer collaborates across disciplines and communicates key concepts to both project management and the contractor, with a pre-FEED focus on capital cost optimisation, risk management, and efficient execution.Candidates must have demonstrable experience, in a lead capacity, of static equipment across pressure vessels, columns, towers, reactors and internals, including high-alloy, high-pressure / heavy-wall equipment, heat exchangers, large-bore / high-alloy process and utility piping, storage tanks / vessels and cryogenic cold boxes, with working awareness of equipment used in downstream refining / chemicals e.g. hydro-processing, sour gas treatment, ethylene cracking, utilities / offsites and large scale modular execution strategies.Key responsibilities include:Mechanical engineering leadership and risk-informed decision supportSteering contractor value improvement and capital efficiencyRecommending design alternative studiesAssessing and qualifying new technology / equipment with shareholder supportOwning discipline engineering standards and contributing to philosophies / procedures / specificationsSupporting FEED / EPC scope and bid evaluationsParticipating ..... full job details .....
