The Role

• As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will responsible for Mechanical package Delivery and Technical Governance, along with the management of the mechanical package delivery strategy for the framework.
• You will manage site surveys of existing mechanical equipment
• Handover to project MEICA delivery engineering team
• Implementation of standard procurement specific requirements in relation to manufacture, off site testing, delivery and installation are incorporated within mechanical packages
• Ensuring that delivery teams are implementing deployed frameworks. 
• Collaboration within the wider functions of the business – design / estimating / civils / commercial to support overall effective delivery and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities

• Input to design solution at survey and concept stages
• Production of mechanical enquiry packages based on design documentation
• Organisation of decommissioning / relocation of existing mechanical equipment
• Definition of standard products and technical solutions for deployment across the programme
• Definition of standard procurement specific requirements in relation to manufacture, off site testing, delivery and installation are incorporated within mechanical packages
• Guiding design teams towards standardisation of solutions across the programme
• Managing key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure production / delivery timescales
• Liaison with the clients mechanical lead
• Review and sign-off of mechanical elements of condition survey report.
• On and offsite inspection and testing, including documentation, procedures and critical function witness testing i.e., FAT & SAT, string tests etc.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in Water civil engineering projects

Strong background in Mechanical Engineering
