Lead Mechanical Engineer

Are you an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step into management? We re recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-site Facilities Management contract across North London. Initially combining hands-on engineering with team supervision, this role offers a clear pathway to progress into a full-time Mechanical Supervisor position within approximately six months. The Role As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will: Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance across multiple sites. Provide technical support and guidance to a team of engineers. Diagnose faults and resolve mechanical and building services issues. Support contractors, quotations and day-to-day maintenance delivery. Ensure RAMS, permits, Health and Safety and compliance requirements are met. Build strong relationships with clients and site teams. About You To be successful as the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you ll have: A Mechanical or Plumbing NVQ / City and Guilds qualification. Strong experience within Hard FM, building services or commercial maintenance. Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Team Leader or Working Supervisor. Strong PPM, reactive maintenance and fault-finding experience. The confidence to lead engineers and deal directly with clients. F-Gas, AC, IOSH or AP experience would be advantageous.
