Job Description:Role: Lead Frontend DeveloperRate: £500 Inside IR35Location: RemoteContract:12 months BPPS required About the role Our Central Government client is seeking an experienced Lead Frontend Developer to join the team to accelerate the delivery of user-facing digital services. As the Lead Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in driving Front End technical direction, ensuring compliance with technical governance frameworks, and overseeing the development of accessible, robust, and scalable interfaces. You will be instrumental in mentoring teams, assuring Front End code quality, and ensuring service alignment to broader government standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement modern Front End architectures utilising JavaScript (ReactJS, Node.js) and related technical standards. Present Front End designs, templating strategies, and technical decisions to governance forums for approval. Communicate and justify complex technical UI/UX and architectural decisions to diverse stakeholder groups. Assure the quality of Front End systems, ensuring robust CI/CD pipeline integration and compliance with accessibility guidelines. Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-weight developers within the delivery team.
