Lead Firmware EngineerEdinburgh 12-Month Contract Paying up to 80p/h (Inside IR35) Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to analyse system-level requirements and capture/ derive detailed FW requirements.Specifying timing and area constraints for efficient FPGA place and route.Integrating and debugging complex systems where the Firmware interacts with Hardware and Software.Deliver firmware for complex digital systems that meet challenging future customer requirementsMentor junior members of the team to help enhance their skills and knowledge in all aspects of Firmware development. Required ExperienceDegree (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar engineering/science courseExperience in firmware design techniques and tools, from VHDL to place-and-routeExperience in FPGA architectures such as system-on-chip (e.g. Xilinx Versal)Experience of auto-generated code using model driven engineering using MATLAB and Simulink toolsExperience of design tools such as Verilog, System Verilog and UVMIdeally have prior experience working within the defence or Aerospace industries.Experience within the defence industry.Experience within the defence industry.
