Salary - Up to -45,000 negotiable
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced-Lead Fire & Security Engineer / Project Engineer-to join our team and take a leading role in the delivery of fire and security projects, alongside planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and service works.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who can-lead engineering teams, work closely with Project Managers and take responsibility for the technical delivery of projects, while also supporting service and maintenance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong-fire alarm installation, servicing and commissioning experience, with a good understanding of wider security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Fire & Security Engineers on site.
- Coordinate engineering activities and ensure projects remain on programme.
- Work closely with Project Managers to deliver projects successfully.
- Install, test and commission-fire alarm systems.
- Carry out-PPM, servicing, testing and maintenance-of fire and security systems.
- Attend reactive service and breakdown call-outs when required.
- Fault-find and resolve technical issues on site.
- Carry out system testing, commissioning and handover.
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics and project specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and other site teams.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
- Complete service reports, commissioning documentation and project handover paperwork.
- Carry out quality checks and ensure work meets required standards.
- Identify additional works and report opportunities to the Project Manager.
- Required Experience
- Proven experience as a-Fire & Security Engineer, Lead Engineer or Project Engineer.
- Strong-fire alarm installation, servicing and commissioning experience.
- Experience carrying out-PPM and reactive service works.
- Experience leading or supervising engineers.
- Good understanding of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Full UK driving licence.
