Lead Fire Alarm Technician
The Lead Fire Alarm Technician will lead and coordinate the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of fire detection, emergency lighting, and AOV (Automatic Opening Ventilation) systems across a range of client premises. This senior-level position demands a highly experienced and technically capable engineer (minimum 15 years experience) who can also support security and CCTV systems as part of integrated life-safety solutions. The role includes supervising technicians, ensuring compliance with BS standards, BAFE SP203-1, and company quality procedures, while delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standard. Fire Detection and Life Safety Systems Lead the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault diagnosis of conventional, addressable, networked and integrated fire detection and alarm systems. Ensure systems are installed, commissioned and maintained in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025, BAFE SP203-1, applicable BS EN 54 standards and manufacturer requirements. Carry out cause-and-effect programming, control panel configuration, system network verification, diagnostic testing and remedial repairs. Manage scheduled and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring accurate service reports and certification are completed.
