Client: BAE SystemsJob Type: ContractJob Title: Lead EstimatorLocation: Broad Oak, Filton, Frimley or New Malden 2-3 days per weekHourly Rate: £49.38 PAYE OR £66.63 Umbrella inside IR35Duration: 6 monthsAbout the RoleYou will own all pricing activity undertaken to ensure that Naval Ships Combat Systems Portfolio of bids and contracts are competitive and deliver strong returns for the business, with the appropriate balance of risk and reward. You will set out pricing strategy, provide leadership and direction on how BAE approach pricing as a business, ensure that all Estimators and Project Controllers responsible for pricing activity are SQEP and that the Governance and toolsets are fit for purpose and utilised effectively. In addition, this role will be tasked with transforming BAE''s pricing approach within Combat Systems to support their future strategy of bidding and delivering strong returns to support investment in products and to increase the speed and confidence in competitive, responsive proposals to the Customer.Key Responsibilities:Define, shape and direct the pricing strategy for Combat Systems.Ensure that BAE Systems Governance is applied across the business including leading audits and making recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.Provide leadership, advice and guidance for all aspects of pricing and costs within the Combat Systems business.Lead the upskilling of estimating, commercial and project controls with respect to End to End Pricing, competitive ..... full job details .....
