DIS, Pension Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer looking for a hands-on lead role in a high-performing manufacturing facility? We are recruiting a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an establish yet growing manufacturing site in Caerphilly, Wales. This is a 70% hands-on engineering and 30% supervisory role designed for an experienced, electrically biased engineer who leads from the front on the shop floor. You will take ownership of technical maintenance, PLC fault-finding, continuous improvement, and site facilities infrastructure, whilst coaching and mentoring a dedicated team of engineers. Key Responsibilities Hands-on Technical Leadership (70%): Provide expert electrical and mechanical breakdown response, complex diagnostics, panel fault-finding, and continuous improvement activities across high-speed production lines and site utilities. Team Supervision and Development (30%): Mentor, coach, and direct a team of maintenance engineers and technicians, promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and engineering excellence. Automation and Diagnostics: Utilise PLC fault-finding and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot continuous manufacturing machinery, minimise downtime, and boost plant reliability.
