Lead Electrical Engineer

Lead Electrical Engineer | FEED | Offshore Energy | NorwichI'm currently supporting a specialist offshore engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering and design delivery of a Minimum Facilities Jacket Platform FEED project based in Norwich.

This role will suit a senior electrical engineering professional with a strong background in offshore platforms, electrical systems design, FEED execution and multidisciplinary project delivery.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate Electrical Engineering activities throughout the FEED phase
• Act as the Design Authority for Electrical Systems, providing technical direction across project scopes
• Develop and oversee engineering deliverables including specifications, data sheets, drawings, calculations and technical reports
• Lead the design of HV/LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, UPS, earthing, lighting, small power and electrical control systems
• Coordinate design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry, project and company standards
• Interface with Project Managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors and subcontractors

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 10 years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar industry
• Proven experience in electrical systems, distribution and MCC design for offshore platforms
• Strong experience delivering engineering project scopes and multidisciplinary projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, calculations and engineering documentation
• Experience with hazardous-area design, including the application of DSEAR and ATEX
• HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable:

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
• 15+ years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar industry
• Strong HV and LV distribution design experience
• Experience with MCC design
• Experience working on or with top-tier COMAH sites
• Experience providing construction, installation and commissioning support

This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in a significant offshore FEED project, working with a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary engineering team.
