Lead Electrical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical scope across multiple major water frameworks. This role will suit an experienced engineer capable of leading technical delivery, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs across all design and delivery stages.You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, coordinating multi-disciplinary interfaces, and supporting project teams across a range of UK water infrastructure schemes.This is a long term contract, outside ir35. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of the electrical engineering scope across multiple projectsManage schedules, MDRs, change control, reporting, and technical coordinationDelegate and oversee work packages within the electrical teamSupport estimating activities including CTR developmentProvide technical leadership across all deliverables, including: Basis of DesignPower systems, earthing, lightning, load and cable calculationsEquipment sizing, specifications, SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, MTOs and layouts Prepare requisitions for HV/LV equipment (switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, lighting, etc.)Review supplier quotations and complete technical bid assessmentsDevelop installation scopes of workEnsure compliance with UK/international standards, legislation, and client requirementsLiaise with DNOs and external stakeholdersSupport HV modelling and protection studiesManage equipment obsolescence and lifecycle ..... full job details .....
