Lead Developer
Connect2Hackney are seeking a Lead Developer with a proven track record of directly configuring and managing the NEC Housing/Asset Management ecosystem. In this technical leadership role, you will take hands-on ownership of environment management, configuration control, deployment pipelines, integration stability, and data security across our NEC core platforms.
The Role
As Lead Developer, you will be the technical authority for our NEC ecosystem, safeguarding system health across all development, testing, and production environments. You will drive high standards for NEC module configuration, release management, integration reliability, and data governance, ensuring seamless service delivery and robust system performance.
Key Responsibilities
NEC Configuration & Environment Management:
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for NEC system configuration, ensuring all modules and environment setups align with operational requirements.
- Maintain strict configuration consistency across all environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Training, Prod) and NEC modules to eliminate deployment errors or overriding conflicts.
- Monitor overall performance, health, and stability across all technical environments.
- Lead technical engagement in NEC vendor calls, managing system patches, upgrade releases, and configuration changes.
Deployments & Release Management:
- Coordinate deployment schedules, maintenance windows, and release sign-offs across cross-functional delivery teams.
- Define, document, and execute reliable rollback strategies and emergency fix procedures for failed releases or misconfigurations.
Integrations & Quality Assurance:
- Test, troubleshoot, and formally sign off on third-party APIs and custom integrations connected to the NEC platform.
- Establish strict quality stage gates and mandatory technical sign-offs throughout the configuration and release lifecycle.
Data & Security Governance:
- Oversee data migrations involving NEC platforms, performing rigorous quality assurance and data integrity checks.
- Enforce sensitive data protection and masking protocols when cloning Production databases into non-production and training environments.
Requirements
- Proven track record in NEC system configuration: Demonstrated, hands-on experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting configuration across core NEC modules and environments.
- Technical Environment Leadership: Strong background managing environment release pipelines, system patching, and deployment strategy within complex public sector or housing IT ecosystems.
- Integration Expertise: Practical experience testing, troubleshooting, and signing off on third-party API integrations connected to core systems.
- Data & Security Governance: Solid understanding of data governance, database cloning protocols, migration assurance, and security best practices.
