Lead Data Scientist

Lead Data Scientist required by an established UK organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong data science professional who enjoys leading high-performing teams while remaining hands-on with advanced analytics, machine learning and AI. You''ll play a key role in shaping the organisation''s data strategy, delivering innovative analytical solutions and driving commercial value through data. The Role Reporting into the Head of Analytics, you''ll lead a team of Data Scientists and Analysts, providing both technical direction and people leadership. You''ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities where data science can improve decision-making, increase efficiency and unlock new commercial insights. This is a varied role combining leadership, stakeholder engagement and hands-on data science. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop a team of Data Scientists and Analysts. Deliver advanced analytics, predictive modelling and machine learning solutions to solve complex business challenges. Identify opportunities where AI and data science can create measurable business improvements. Translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions. Work alongside Data Engineering and BI teams to deploy and maintain production-ready models. Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and best practices within data science and AI.
