Lead Corporate Financial Systems Analyst — Tokio Marine HCC International, London. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Financial Systems Business Programs. Permanent role in the European Headquarters.Job Purpose
Under general supervision, this role: implements and maintains the department data system; oversees integration projects and system enhancements; and ensures that all processes are completed effectively and efficiently.Key Responsibilities
Implement accounting/financial systems and databases by providing analysis, setup, and testing of programs to ensure accurate financial results and compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.Document test results and troubleshoot program issues.Collaborate with IT and other applicable departments to ensure all user needs are identified and included into system requirements and all technical aspects are properly documented and addressed.Develop and test interfaces between all applicable systems/databases.Identify and make recommendations for improving processes and procedures for assigned accounting/financial systems and databases.Create and maintain system documentation, user manuals and training documents.Perform all system administration for assigned business application including security administration, configuration management, system monitoring, and appropriate documentation of all activities.Competencies
Planning: Develop work plans, establish timelines, and set goals for proposed work including special projects, techniques and/or strategies; assign resources as needed; meet commitments on deadlines.Communication: Communicate project results and recommendations to all levels, internally and externally; lead multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.Cost Management: Drive innovation by improving existing business processes and developing new processes; perform work thoroughly in a cost-efficient manner; responsible for developing and accountable for project budgets.Business Controls and Policies: Comply with all corporate policies and procedures; report any breakdown in controls to management; conduct activities safely; ensure compliance by project team members.People Management: May lead or direct special projects; may assist with review and evaluation of personnel.Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Finance, especially in the implementation and maintenance of PeopleSoft Financials accounting systems.Understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles; broad knowledge of related principles, practices, and procedures.Advanced proficiency with PeopleSoft Financial modules (Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury).Excellent written and verbal communications with emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks; strong decision-making and problem-solving.Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the role.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).Ability to handle sensitive material in accordance with policy and legal requirements.Strong communicator who can connect across the organization at multiple locations.Flexibility and willingness to learn.Desirable
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education/experience.Soft Skills
