About the Role
This role is for a Lead Control System Verification Engineer based in Stafford, on a permanent contract with a salary of £48,000 to £55,000 per annum. The position involves leading HVDC Control and Protection testing and validation activities within a global engineering team focused on the green energy transition. Key responsibilities include planning verification tasks, developing Factory System Test cases, and supporting Factory Acceptance Tests. The role also requires creating system models using PSCAD, RSCAD, or EMTP-RV, preparing control system requirements for RTDS lab setups, and aiding commissioning teams. Candidates need a degree in Electrical, Power Systems, or Power Electronics Engineering, along with proven experience in HVDC Control systems.

Key Responsibilities
Lead planning and coordination of Verification and Validation activities.
Develop and execute Factory System Test (FST) cases and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Create HVDC system and plant models using PSCAD, RSCAD, or EMTP-RV.
Prepare control system requirements for RTDS lab setups.
Support commissioning teams and contribute to process and tool improvements.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical, Power Systems , Power Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience in HVDC Control and Protection design and verification.
Strong technical skills in PSCAD, RSCAD modelling and system behaviour analysis.
Leadership experience in managing validation teams.
