Our PMCM Education team is ready to hire a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high value and/or complex infrastructure projects involving multidisciplinary teams working for the Department for Education and other similar clients.To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate effective leadership and proactive management at both client and project levels to deliver all aspects of control, with a real focus on the management of programmes, cost and quality of work delivered internally and externally. As the Lead Consultant for the client, you will need to demonstrate effective management, providing guidance to the client and challenging proposals as they develop.Key Responsibilities

Leading projects from RIBA 1 to 6, providing the client with a consultancy project management service, offering advice and guidance as required throughout the projectDeveloping the plans and strategies to successfully deliver the project objectivesSelecting, developing and managing the project teamIdentifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groupsEmpowering and inspiring others to deliver successful projectsAgreeing contracts on behalf of the client, in liaison with their legal representatives and monitoring compliance and managing variancesProducing Feasibility Studies, taking inputs from various sources, managing its progress and delivering to the client a high-quality reportProactive management during procurement and construction phases, engaging with Contractors, interrogating and challenging proposals to ensure quality and value for moneyMonitor and report on progress against agreed programmes at all stages and agree strategies to keep on programme or mitigation measures when timescales may varyWhat We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

Proven track record in the successful delivery of public sector projects working with Local and Central Government agencies, in particular Education delivery would be desirableKnowledge of Health and Safety Regulations applicable to infrastructure projects, in particular CDM regulationsExperience of projects from Feasibility Study stage through to Operation and in particular the stage deliverables at each pointExperience in procurement of contractors, development of contractual documents and achieving Contract Close on projectsExperience leading a multi-disciplinary team on behalf of a client, liaising with a diverse range of specialismsExperience of development and management of programmes and the identification of issues and development of solutions to resolve time challengesExperience in the identification and management of risk and strategies to avoid or mitigate their outcomesExperience in the understanding of cost management of a project, working with QS colleagues to maintain the best value to the client whilst maintaining qualityChartership to MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS or equivalent is essentialDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
