Lead CNC ProgrammerLocation: SolihullOpportunity: Temp to PermHours: 39 hours per weekWorking Hours: Static Day shiftAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Lead CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Solihull on a Temp to Perm basis.This hands-on role combines CNC milling programming, setting and operating with mentoring and supporting apprentices as they develop their engineering skills.You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components safely and efficiently, while providing technical support on the shop floor, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and contributing to a culture of quality, continuous improvement and skills development.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Work with a range of materials and manufacturing processes.Ensure components meet required tolerances and timescales.Support and supervise trainee setups, encouraging practical problem-solving skills.Mentor apprentices and less experienced team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.Set and operate manual machinery and use a range of hand tools.Troubleshoot machining and manufacturing issues.Carry out preventative maintenance and maintain equipment appropriately.Work independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team.Communicate effectively with CNC setters, operators, supervisors and the Manufacturing Manager.Maintain high ..... full job details .....
