Lead Clinician – Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist
Location: Skylarks School – Surrey KT18 7LRContract: Permanent (Term time or flexibility around full-time discussed based on personal circumstances) | Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday | Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
The role combines clinical leadership with direct therapy delivery within an education setting. You will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead to lead the in-house clinical team and manage a therapy caseload. You will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles of need, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH needs. Meeting EHCP requirements will be a primary focus, using OFG’s all/group/individual clinical approaches embedded in practice. You will also coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead service development of the school-based clinical service in collaboration with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Our Clinical Teams maintain a person-centred, empowering approach, prioritising the pupils’ voices and safeguarding. We aim to provide an environment where pupils can flourish and gain independence, supported by a multidisciplinary clinical team and education staff.
Essential Criteria
Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
Experience with the specialist client group (autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs)
Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
Ability to work independently and within a growing clinical service
Experience of multi-professional work with teams within the designated specialty (preferred)
Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle
