At Mallard Short Breaks, we support children and young people with disabilities to enjoy time away from home in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. As a Lead Children''s Worker on nights, you''ll help make sure every young person feels safe, comfortable and well supported throughout their stay. You''ll provide hands-on care while taking additional responsibility for leading the night shift and helping ensure the service runs safely and smoothly. You''ll get to know each young person''s individual routines, communication styles and support needs, providing reassurance and consistent care throughout the night. What you''ll do Lead the night shift and support colleagues to provide safe, consistent careProvide personal care and support based around each young person''s individual needs and overnight routineSupport young people who wake or need additional reassurance during the nightAdminister medication safely and maintain accurate recordsRespond calmly and appropriately to changing or challenging situationsHelp ensure a safe, settled environment and a smooth handover to the day team About you You''ll have an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (Children), HNC or equivalent SCQF Level 7 qualification and experience of working with children, ideally those with additional support needs.
