Lead Accountant

Lead Accountant Blyth Full Time Permanent Reed Accountancy and Finance are partnering with a well-established business in Blyth to recruit a Lead Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join a growing finance team and take ownership of the month-end reporting cycle while providing valuable financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. This role would suit a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working closely with both operational stakeholders and finance colleagues, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the month-end accounts production and reporting cycle Prepare and post monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments Produce accurate and timely management accounts in line with reporting deadlines Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations Deliver monthly flash reports and weekly KPI reporting Oversee the accounts payable function, including reviewing and approving payment runs Provide financial analysis and insight to support business performance Support the Operations team and wider Group Finance function with reporting and project work Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiencies Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across reporting activities About You To be successful in this role, you will have: ACA, ACCA or ..... full job details .....
