Carry out the routine maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant equipment used at Stores Road depot or any other site nominated. All maintenance undertaken is to comply with the standards set out in VOSA''s ''Guide to Roadworthiness'' and all Operator Licence stipulations where applicable. Bring to the attention of the Assistant Workshop Manager or Workshop Manager any indication of driver/operator damage noted during routine servicing and inspection, preparing written reports if required. Attend promptly to vehicle and plant breakdowns involving taking out a replacement vehicle or item of plant, repairing defective vehicles or plant on site and arranging the return of it to the depot. Investigate the cause of vehicle and plant faults using gauges, hand held test equipment and computer software, isolate the cause and carry out necessary repairs.
