Lay Advisory Group Chair London and home-based Voluntary with expenses Approximately two days per month The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to serve as Chair of the Lay Advisory Group. This is an exciting opportunity to provide independent leadership and ensure that the perspectives of patients, the public and lay representatives are embedded across the College''s work. The Chair will lead the Lay Advisory Group, champion meaningful public involvement, and work closely with RCEM''s leadership to help shape the College''s strategic priorities and activities. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership, communication and governance skills, and a passion for improving healthcare through effective patient and public engagement. Experience of serving on boards, committees, voluntary organisations, patient advocacy groups, or in governance-related roles would be advantageous. As Chair, you will play a key role in supporting RCEM''s commitment to ensuring that the voices of patients and the public are represented in the development of policy, standards and initiatives that affect emergency medicine across the UK.
