at Brighton and Hove City Council / Sussex Law Society. We are recruiting two Property Lawyer roles within the Directorate- Governance and Law located in Hove. Salary: £38,626 – £49,764 plus £8,000 Market Supplement. Permanent and Fixed Term options available.Responsibilities
Support the Council’s housing buyback and development programmes, its regeneration schemes and transactions to implement the Council’s Asset Management StrategyCarry out property transactions to maximise the Council’s property portfolio incomeContribute to projects such as Sea Lanes Outdoor Swimming Pool, Kingsway to the Sea redevelopment, and acquisition of large new-build apartment blocks for the Housing StrategyAssist with a busy, public sector property practice within a supportive property legal teamWhat we are looking for
Qualified lawyer (barrister, solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales) with relevant commercial/development and residential conveyancing experienceExcellent client care and communication skills, a positive attitude and willingness to develop in the rolePublic sector work experience is desirable but not essentialEmployment type and hours
