The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Law Teacher to join its successful department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Law across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students' understanding of the English legal system, criminal law, civil law, tort, contract law, and human rights. You will inspire students to think critically, analyse legal issues, and build the skills required for success in both GCSE and A-Level Law qualifications where applicable.
Working within a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating an inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to debate, question, and develop a strong understanding of legal principles. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while supporting students in reaching their academic potential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Law at KS4 and KS5
  • Be confident delivering GCSE and/or A-Level Law
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a passion for legal studies and preparing students for further education and careers within the legal sector
