Law Accountant Police Scotland was established on 1 April 2013 and is responsible for policing across the whole of Scotland with a unique range of urban, rural, island and remote communities. We are seeking a qualified Law Accountant who will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality service to independently review all fee notes and itemised invoices received by the Scottish Police Authority/Police Scotland from the firms of solicitors instructed to act on behalf of officers or staff involved in relevant existing legal proceedings or new cases. As the portfolios primary interface for the Law Accountant function, the role will also be responsible for the delivery of robust high quality analysis reporting and provide expert advice and guidance to Police Scotland senior management and executive members.
