Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our maintenance team working on the Late Shift.This role can be worked Full time 12noon -9pm or flexible start time up to 6pm-9pm.Saturday morning hours may also be available.The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), ensuring they meet safety and operational standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in vehicle repair, fabrication, and electrical systems. The position involves working with a variety of heavy goods vehicles, and requires a commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer service. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and comprehensive diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Utilise schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems accurately. Carry out fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed to restore or modify vehicle parts. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical wiring.
