Laser Setter/Operator

Our client is seeking a talented Laser Setter/Operator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role, with a Monday-Friday schedule and a PM shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The salary range for this position includes a £2.20 per hour shift allowance, making the total hourly rate £15.00.

• Operate and maintain state-of-the-art Trumpf and/or Bystronic laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our laser cutting processes, ensuring optimal performance and quality.

Preferred Requirements:

• Extensive experience in laser cutting operations, with a deep understanding of Trumpf and/or Bystronic laser systems.
• Proficient in operating forklift trucks (FLT) to support the laser cutting process.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in laser cutting operations or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
• A valid FLT license to safely operate forklift trucks on-site.
